Davit Zalkaliani will deliver a speech at the session of the UN Human Rights Council

Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani will start his visit to the Swiss Confederation today. Within the framework of the visit, Davit Zalkaliani will address the high-level segment of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

 

The 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council opens in Geneva today. Human rights hearings are held three times a year, though the session is held once a year in a high-level segment, that is, of foreign ministers.

 

It is in this format that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani will present a report on the human rights situation in the occupied territories of Georgia at the UN Human Rights Council.

 

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, in his speech, the Georgian Foreign Minister will pay special attention to the most difficult human rights environment in the occupied regions of Georgia.

 

During the visit, the minister will hold meetings with heads of international organizations - UN Secretary-General Antonio Gutierrez, the Council of Europe Secretary-General, the World Intellectual Property Organization Director Francis Gurry, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo grandee of the Human Rights Council together.
