Foreign citizen detained for smuggling drugs into Georgia

A foreign citizen has been detained at Tbilisi International Airport for smuggling a large number of drugs into Georgia.

 

The detainee, identified only as A. K., was born in 1969.

 

Police have seized 97 pills of Subutex, a powder containing Buprenorphine, five pills of ecstasy and one package of MDMA.

 

The crime is punishable by five to 20 years in prison.
