Lezgins: Armenian provocateurs foment separatism, who brazenly stole history from Lezgins

31.01.20 18:53

We should remind that Ossetian separatism in the Tskhinvali region of Georgia began with theses that Ossetians say that they are "divided people" and therefore North and South Ossetia (on the eve of the collapse of the Soviet Union South Ossetian Autonomous District of Georgia) should unite with North Ossetian ASSR and become part of Russia.

Unfortunately, many of the Ossetians have fallen for incitement of Armenian provocateurs (who wanted to ignite the conflict on the model of Karabakh), which eventually led to the occupation of the Tskhinvali region. And this did not bring any good to Ossetians themselves. In the best case, in Tskhinvali region remained at best a fifth of the population that was here before the start of the separatist conflict, and most of the Ossetian villages were simply deserted and abandoned by residents.

Under the same scheme that Armenian nationalists provocateurs have instigated the Ossetian separatist conflict in the Tskhinvali region against Georgia, they have also tried and are trying to stir up Lezgin separatism in northern Azerbaijan. The work coordinated by the Armenian security services has been going on for a long time. From year to year pro-Armenian provocateurs and agents of the Armenian lobby remind about the so-called "division" of the Lezgin people.

Armenian provocateurs especially tried to stir up separatist sentiments among Lezgins on the eve of the military provocation in April 2016. (which is an extra proof that this provocation was prepared in advance). Then, in order to open the "second front" against Azerbaijan in January 2016, a number of provocative propaganda steps were taken.

In particular, materials concerning the so-called "day of division of the Lezgin people" appeared on Dagestani websites", in particular on the website http://lezgi-yar.ru "Division of Lezgins on the "day of division of the Lezgin people" (the tragedy continues" ( http://lezgi-yar.ru/news/razdelenija_lezgin_v_den_razdelenija_lezginskogo_naroda_tragedija_prodolzhaetsja/2016-01-23-4004?fbclid=IwAR2yxwcVlxzL6H0_nOBHigfmVkJDsCiGPsz0xgPEDtFeyJpi4tPgCcgx994 ).

A provocative banner mentioning the "Day of Separation" was also displayed with a map of the separatist "Lezgistan".

However, the provocation of Armenian instigators aimed at inciting hostility between the brotherly Lezgin and Azerbaijani peoples caused outrage of the majority of Lezgins, first of all in Dagestan. As a result, the banner was quickly removed. And after the Armenian aggressors suffered a shameful defeat in Karabakh in April 2016, the intensity of provocations to incite Yerevan Lezgin separatism slightly decreased.

But on January 24, 2020, the users of social networks again began to "disperse" provocative posts on the alleged "day of division of Lezgins," with links to custom articles four years ago, and show that unfortunate banner about the "Day of division of Lezgins, with a provocative map of the separatist "Lezgistan. In other words, Armenian security services again place their bets on fomenting of Lezgin separatism "according to the Ossetian scenario with an emphasis on alleged "unification of the divided people". And in fact, on formation of puppet separatist pseudo-state on the territory of sovereign Azerbaijan.

At that, provocative fomenting of separatist sentiments by Armenian security services among Lezgins coincided with revival of interest of Lezgins to their historical roots. In particular, the Caucasian Albania, which was a common state for both Azerbaijani and Lezgin peoples.

But here it is precisely those who foment Lezginist separatism because of their habit of embezzling all strangers get into a "spicy" position. They cannot deny continuity of Lezgins and population of ancient Caucasian Albania. But that's the point, that the history, cultural and spiritual heritage of Caucasian Albania was embezzled by Armenian falsifiers long ago and brazenly, even without asking "permission" of neither Lezgins, nor Udins, nor Turks.

Moreover, until the monuments of Albanian writing were discovered, Armenian falsifiers claimed that there was no independent Caucasian Albania, but only a "province" of a "great Armenia", which later became a separate "Armenian" state.

Even then, when facts appeared that Caucasian Albania had its own script and language, when manuscripts were found and deciphered, false historical claims of Armenian falsifiers that they were in Caucasian Albania quickly "forgotten" began. And, they say, Caucasian Albania as "Armenian state" "passed to Armenian language" in ancient times.

But neither culture nor mentality of the Hayan ethnos and Lezgins had and cannot have anything in common! These are completely different peoples. And it turns out that Lezgin separatists, who listen to Armenian provocateurs, should either give up completely the heritage of Caucasian Albania, "presenting" it to their Armenian "sponsors" or even worse agree with absolutely delusional statement that Lezgins are descendants of "ancient Armenians".

The interest of the Lezgins in their Albanian roots seriously hinders Armenian falsifiers. It should have been a little more "humble" to appropriate someone else's history.

Moreover, among many Lezgins, the idea of translating Lezgin script into the unique ancient Albanian alphabet is popular. And here the pseudo-historical delirium of Armenian falsifiers that the alphabet "was invented by Mesrop Mashtots" is perceived as an insult. All the more the question arises, why Armenian nationalists and falsifiers so maniacally destroyed monuments of Albanian writing, if this writing is "brainchild" of their Mashtots?

Both Azerbaijani and Lezgin peoples have common historical roots, are heirs of ancient and original culture of Caucasian Albania, the country where Turkic and Lezgin language groups lived side by side. And all attempts to ignite separatism and drive a wedge between these brotherly peoples are doomed to failure.
