The officers of detectives division and district inspectors of the Adjara Police Department arrested two persons for a drug crime - G.G., born in 1985, and M.V., born in 1988.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the law enforcers stopped both accused on the airport highway in Batumi. Police seized 110 pills of methadone, as well as heroin and methamphetamine, during a search of the detainees.
The investigation was launched under Article 260, parts 3 and 6, subsection (a) of the Criminal Code of Georgia on illegal purchase and keeping of large quantities of drugs.
The crime envisages up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
