Natia Turnava: Hopefully international community finds a solution

"We are keeping an eye on developments in the region and globally, and our international partners are helping us, of course," Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, told reporters after a government meeting on developments in the Middle East.

 

"We discussed things that are ongoing, including the economic side and the possible dangers, as it is crucial for peace in the region. We hope that the international community will find a peaceful solution, and the process will de-escalate. At this stage, from the economic point of view, there is no serious influence. However, we continue to monitor and analyze and are very attentive," the Minister said.

 

The US Defense Department killed General Qasem Soleimani in a military operation. After the incident, Iran bombed an American base in Iraq.
