All relevant state agencies are in close contact with their partners, - Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at the government meeting when commenting on the situation in the Middle East.

He said that the Georgian state agencies were working with partners to analyze the threats that Georgia may face in light of the developments in the region.

"In recent days, our attention has been focused on the tension that has been developed in the Middle East. We have been in close contact with our international partners from the first day until now and we have been closely monitoring developments together with them. Of course, we can say that peaceful negotiations and active diplomacy have no alternative since any kind of tension is a huge problem for the region both in terms of security and economic development. That is why we are in close contact with our international partners today and we are watching closely what is happening in the region. In addition, all relevant agencies of the Government of Georgia, both the security agencies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are in close contact with their partners and work together to jointly analyze the threats that may arise for our country in the light of the recent developments in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed, through its representation, consulates, embassies, to provide full support to any Georgian citizen who may be in a tension zone today,” Giorgi Gakharia said.
