Energy Market observes new game rules

As head of the Association of Power Exchange of Georgia Irina Milorava says, the power market conception will be defined in the new law.

 

She said the new market rules will be elaborated that will unite the mandatory conditions of the market operation.

 

Milorava stated the reform will cause the development of the competition level, adding that the competition needs to be developed rapidly on the wholesale and afterward - on the retail market.

 

She remarked that new players will appear on the market: the so-called traders and suppliers.

 

The retail market will be divided into regulated and de-regulated parts.

 

Irina Milorava said the retail consumers will enjoy regulated prices in five or six years.
