Georgian, Moldovan FMs discuss European integration agenda of two countries

David Zalkaliani and Aureliu Ciocoi met on the sidelines of the 26th Ministerial Council in Bratislava.

 

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said, the parties discussed the issues of European integration and welcomed the signing of the joint declaration between Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, which the Ministers presented to the EU High Representative, Josep Borrell.

 

The Ministers highlighted the need to duly consider the individual aspirations and the progress achieved within the Eastern Partnership format. According to them, it is important to deliver much more tangible benefits to the population.

 

David Zalkaliani acquainted his Moldovan counterpart with Georgia’s initiatives and visions of Eastern Partnership. The Ministers also discussed the issues relating to bilateral relations. Special note was taken of the necessity of strengthening economic cooperation and increasing the number of high-level visits.
