Irina Milorava to Head Georgian Energy Exchange

Irina Milorava, the former head of Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) will lead the Georgian Energy Exchange that was established several days ago, according to the BM.Ge information.
We will offer Milorava’s comments on the near plans in several days.


Key mission of the Energy Exchange is to sign bilateral agreements, prepare, organize and coordinate special arrangements for shaping daily organized markets.

 

The Energy market was established by instruction and coordination of Ministry of Economy and with a50%-50% co-ownership of Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE) and Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO).
The electricity market will launch operation in 2021 and its aims to establish day-before, hourly market and balance mechanism.
