Tram decorated with Georgian alphabet to run through Strasbourg streets

A tram decorated with the Georgian alphabet will run through the streets of Strasbourg in connection with Georgia's Presidency of the Council of Europe, - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

 

According to the Ministry, the tram decorated with the letters of the Georgian alphabet and painted by young Georgian calligrapher Nikoloz Ghunashvili was inaugurated at the Droits de l'homme stop in Strasbourg. The Georgian Foreign Minister, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg and the French Permanent Representative cut a red ribbon.

 

The first guests traveled from the Droits de l'homme to the République Square. The tram will serve passengers for 6 months.
