21.11.19 17:00

From now on, detailed access to all monuments and sites of Georgia's cultural heritage will be available on an online, interactive web portal with a unified geographic and information database developed by Norwegian specialists with Georgian counterparts.

The Geo-themed website offers users a detailed description of cultural heritage, photographs, and interactive maps - all in Georgian.

The presentation of the project was held with the participation of the Director of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Georgia.

The new portal provides a complete database on cultural heritage protection, museums and collections, and foundations, as well as nature conservation areas, cave painting and various exhibitions.

According to the Minister, the project has the most important scientific-research and educational significance. Chkhenkeli hopes that students will be actively involved in the development of the project.

The cultural-educational project was implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
