You should be completely loyal to our state, which requires high professionalism and political neutrality, - the President of Georgia addressed the law enforcement officers at the event dedicated to the Police Day.

 

Salome Zourabichvili thanked each policeman for their efforts and noted that the police are the basis of a democratic, European and free state.

 

"It is your day today and I want to wish you great success in this very important business. In a democratic country, police is a major institution that protects the safety, peace and rights of our citizens and the stability of our country.

 

We are building a democratic, European, free state. You are the main and necessary pillar in this process. The process of building and strengthening a state can be permanently threatened and this threat can be avoided by your professionalism and strength. You should be completely loyal to our state, which requires high professionalism and political neutrality. You will thus obtain public trust, which is necessary for the police to be effective”, Zourabichvili said.
