Day of Police marked on May 31

The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) marks Police Day on May 31. The solemn activity organized in connection with the day at the Lisi Lake was opened by Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Gakharia.

 

President Salome Zurabishvili, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, governmental members and lawmakers, as well as representatives of Diplomatic Corps attended the activity.

 

Minister Gakharia presented various units of MIA and awarded several employees. Children’s Ensemble “Mdzlevari” closed the official part with singing of the national anthem.

 

Thematic installations, exhibitions and entertaining activities were arranged for family members of MIA employees and the invited guests. Special vehicles and ammunition were exhibited. A concert wrapped up the activity.
