It is unimaginable to bring in money of unknown origin without paying a single GEL to the budget, and if you subscribe to an item worth 300-400 GEL, you will be taxed and you may have to pay twice more than the value of the item. The Parliament of Georgia and parliamentarians serve the Russian oligarchs and not the people, said Levan Khabeishvili, chairman of the "United National Movement" party, responding to the change in the tax code.
According to Levan Khabeishvili, people who support this law should understand that it serves the interests of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the honorary chairman of "Georgian Dream", not the people.
"Ivanishvili looks at the country and the Parliament of Georgia in such a way that they should not serve the people, the Parliament and parliamentarians should serve Ivanishvili. Therefore, the laws are also for him. The population understands very well that if they subscribe to something worth more than 300 GEL, they will pay taxes on it, and now Bidzina has introduced such a law that if billions are brought in, they will not pay a single GEL. Laws are not passed because the Georgian people have a hard time living, Georgian citizens have serious problems and they do not do anything about it. Ivanishvili, this paranoid person thinks that he will build an island for himself and won't ask Georgian citizens anything - obviously, it won't work out that way. The people who support this law should understand that this law does not serve the interest of the citizens of Georgia, but they serve the personal interest of the Russian oligarch, Bidzina Ivanishvili. It is unthinkable to want to bring in money of unknown origin without paying a single GEL to the budget, and if you subscribe to an item worth 300-400 GEL, you will be taxed and you may have to pay twice more than the value of the item", said Levan Khabeishvili.
