16.04.24 16:00

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Tuesday met a Chinese delegation headed by Chen Zhou, the Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the ruling party of China, to discuss “high dynamics” and “close” partnership in the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The parties reviewed bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including in politics, economy, tourism, culture, as well as humanitarian ties and people-to-people contacts, the Georgian foreign office said.

The officials noted the importance of “fully using the new opportunities” created by the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the two countries last year, and highlighted the visa-free travel officially signed between them last week.

The parties also confirmed their support for the mutual sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two states.
