The Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, said that the budget 2020 provides for an increase in pensions for older people, persons with disabilities under the age of 18, persons with disabilities of first and second groups.

As Gakharia said at the government's extraordinary session, the pension for older people over 70 will be increased by GEL 50.

“At the level of principles, we can say that the 2020 budget provides for an increase in pensions for older people, persons with disabilities under the age of 18, persons with disabilities of first and second groups. Specifically, the pensions will be raised by GEL 20,” Gakharia said.

In addition, the Prime Minister spoke about the increase of wages for teachers, law enforcers, soldiers, doctors and so on.

“Of course, we all understand that this is the minimum we can do to effectively help our citizens,” Giorgi Gakharia said.
