21.02.24 14:17

We want Georgia to be a member of the EU. One of the first things that I did when I arrived in Georgia was to go back to Brussels to talk to the European Union about Georgia’s candidacy,” said Robin Dunnigan, US Ambassador to Georgia.

The Ambassador said she hoped to see Georgia become a member of the European Union in “years ahead.”

“Georgia-US strategic partnership is extremely strong and it goes across a range of disciplines from security to education, healthcare, to people-to-people ties that are extremely strong. It is our one of top priorities to support Georgia in its transition to becoming an EU country. We want Georgia to be a member of the EU.

One of the first things that I did when I arrived in Georgia was to go back to Brussels to talk to the European Union about Georgia’s candidacy. And I am very pleased that that was the Prime Minister’s first trip, as the Prime Minister, to Brussels. I hope that in the years ahead we see Georgia become a member of the EU,” she said.
