23.01.24 12:56

Giorgi Kalandarishvili, the Central Election Commission (CEC), emphasized that the election laws clearly define the regulation of overseas voting. He said that the election legislation specifies terms, rules, and procedures for various agencies involved in facilitating voter participation abroad.

Kalandarishvili assured that the CEC and other authorized agencies will implement all procedures within their scope of competence to ensure the participation of Georgians abroad in elections.

“The election administration will timely inform relevant target groups about all stages of the process. The polling stations are established one month before the election day, and the relevant agency will provide accurate lists based on consular registration data,” he stated.

Additionally, Kalandarishvili mentioned that the use of electronic technologies will only be permitted within the country to avoid cyber threats.
