Partnership between Georgia and the Netherlands, and the former’s European Union integration, were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and his Dutch counterpart Hanke Bruins Slot on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The meeting focused on the “historic” decision of the European Council to grant Georgia the bloc’s membership candidate status in December, which “gives the country an additional incentive to continue reforms, to ensure the European future”, the foreign office said.
