“Malta’s chairmanship of the OSCE will strengthen the organization and contribute to its fast coping with the facing challenges,” said Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, stressing Georgia has dynamic and bilateral cooperation with Malta.

According to Ilia Darchiashvili, the Group of Friends in the OSCE pledged to support the country in tackling all problems facing Georgia.

“The Group of Friends unites those countries that support Georgia’s foreign policy. Traditionally this year, we received clear messages in support of Georgia and the Georgian people. Our mission and duty is to consistently work with our partners and always count on their support,” he told the GPB’s First Channel.

Malta will take over the chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) from North Macedonia in 2024.

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili participated in the opening of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Skopje on November 30.
