Georgian Justice Minister meets Hungarian Interior Minister

Rati Bregadze, Georgian Justice Minister, met Sándor Pintér, Hungarian Minister of Internal Affairs.

 

The Ministers met within the framework of the Georgia-Hungary Joint Declaration, which Georgian and Hungarian MPs Irakli Garibashvili and Viktor Orban signed in October.

 

Georgian Justice Minister familiarized the Hungarian Interior Minister with the reforms in the penitentiary system, which aim at safety measures and rehabilitation and resocialization of inmates. He spoke about education programs, employment opportunities, online markets, and providing public services to prisoners.

 

Deputy Justice Ministers, Tamar Tkeshelashvili and Beka Dzamashvili, and Georgia’s Ambassador to Hungary, Tamar Liluashvili, attended the meeting.
