Irakli Kobakhidze: Celebrating the anniversary of the Rose Revolution by National Movement is impudence and nothing more

22.11.23 18:00

Celebrating the anniversary of the Rose Revolution by National Movement is impudence and nothing more, said Irakli Kobakhidze, chairman of Georgian Dream.

According to him, the rating of National Movement is going down and this process will definitely continue.

"The Rose Revolution brought the following to the country - it was a systematic practice of violation of human rights, a systematic practice of human torture, a systematic practice of business racketeering, the hijacking and complete monopolization of television stations, the transfer of 20% of the territories of Georgia to the Russian Federation, total fraud of elections, and this is a very long list. A lot of people died physically as a result of the Rose Revolution. At such a time, celebrating the anniversary of the Rose Revolution by National Movement is impudence and nothing more.

Just as the deoligarchization action plan does not solve the problem of the oligarchs, no manifesto can solve the problems inside the UNM. Two comic figures - Khabeishvili here, Melia there, share their grievances with the public every day, and the public can judge what manifesto will help the UNM in such conditions. This controversy has gone so deep that it is impossible to revive UNM, its rating is going down and this process will definitely continue," said Kobakhidze.
