The President conveyed more or less the right message to her partners about Ivanishvili - the main problem of this country is a person who accumulated capital in Russia and then took it out of Russia without any problems, "Eurooptimists" deputy Khatia Dekanoidze stated.

According to her, characterizing Ivanishvili as an oligarch and the main problem behind the anti-Western policy is important.

"I am glad that the President conveyed more or less the right message to her partners about Ivanishvili. You know that she was afraid and a bit restrained in her evaluation of Ivanishvili, but I think this characterization (referring to Ivanishvili as an oligarch) is important for the Georgian society, partners, so that we know exactly what is the main problem of this country, and the main problem of this country is a person who accumulated capital in Russia and then brought it out of Russia without any problems. It is very important to characterize Ivanishvili as an oligarch and the main problem, that behind everything - impeachment, anti-Western policy and the people who engage in it, is Ivanishvili.

In Georgia, there is only one oligarch who rules everything, the definition of oligarch is the rule of the few by the rich people. Who manages state institutions today? - This is Ivanishvili," said Dekanoidze.

For information, according to the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili, Bidzina Ivanishvili is an oligarch who has accumulated wealth in Russia. As Zurabishvili said in an interview with Le Monde, Ivanishvili is among those "who cannot imagine that Russia will be defeated".

"I don't know what his real interference in the country's economic issues is. All of this is absolutely not transparent. It is clear that he has a dominant influence on the existing rulers. There is no oligarch in Georgian politics today, other than Ivanishvili. I think the answer to de-oligarchization lies in the next elections," Zurabishvili said.
