According to the representative of the President of Georgia, Tamar Chugoshvili, in 2019, within the framework of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia and held talks.

 

Chugoshvili announced the above in the Constitutional Court, where she voiced Salome Zurabishvili's message about the mentioned information.

 

"The President asked us to tell you that in September 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Lavrov during the General Assembly of the United Nations and held talks with him. The President heard this from Guterres during the official meeting," Chugoshvili said at the hearing where the impeachment submission of the President is being considered.
