You were naming some numbers, percentages about unemployment, If you consider yourself the Economy Minister of the employment of Russian citizens in Georgia, then I'm sorry, this is unacceptable for us, this is how the leader of Strategy Builder Giorgi Vashadze addressed the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili during the hearing in the "Minister's Hour" format.

Vashadze presented the data of the Department of Statistics to the Minister and addressed him with relevant questions.

"What is the number one economic problem in Georgia today? - Unemployment. Therefore, we need answers from the Minister of Economy regarding unemployment. I have the data of the Department of Statistics in my hand, 249,000 people were unemployed in 2022, 266,000 people in the first two quarters of 2023, that is, the number of unemployed people in Georgia increased by approximately 20,000. We have 410,000 self-employed people, and if you count them as employees, their domestic production is 156 GEL. Can you imagine that 156 GEL is a normal salary or income? Only last year, 100,000 of our citizens left Georgia, the birth rate, which is directly related to the economy, is in a catastrophic situation, after 2019, the annual birth rate has decreased by 7,000. Accordingly, I have a very specific question, you say the economy grew by double digits, for whom did it grow? Where are the benefits that Georgian citizens should receive? You were naming some numbers, percentages about unemployment, If you consider yourself the Economy Minister of the employment of Russian citizens in Georgia, then I'm sorry, this is unacceptable for us. I am telling you your own numbers," said Vashadze.
