Roman Gotsiridze to Georgian Dream: You are afraid of the tent, you are waiting for the "revolution of tents"

04.10.23 16:10

You are afraid of the tent, you are afraid that we will go from "Rose Revolution" to the "revolution of tents". You are waiting for the "tent revolution" and it is funny. Are you afraid because you have committed too many crimes and sins, this is how opposition MP Roman Gotsiridze addressed the government at the plenary session of the Parliament.

According to Gotsiridze, all those whose tents have been confiscated so far will sue for compensation.

"Your trademark was an iron structure called a cell, and for three months you paralyzed Tbilisi and canceled trade and tourism revenues. Are you going to apologize and say that the constructions that were there were illegal?!

For eleven years you attacked people like bandits who had this constructs. You think that a tent is a structure, and you are afraid of the tent, you are afraid that we will go from "Rose Revolution" to the "revolution of tents". You are waiting for the "tent revolution" and it is funny. Are you afraid because you have committed too many crimes and sins.

If you took away so many tents in 11 years, will you return them with a fine or interest?! That is, what you have committed in violation of the law, will it be compensated or not? Everyone will sue you and everything is recorded by the TVs, how you dragged the tents and burned them. You will have to pay money, but you won't bring money from home and unfortunately, it will be paid from the budget again.

Is the scene a construct? Or is the flag a construct?! You can say that a protester can wave a fairly long flag and hit someone in the head. Explain to us what the construction is in the end," said Roman Gotsiridze.

For information, at the plenary session of the Parliament, the draft of the planned amendments to the Law "On Assemblies and Manifestations" is being discussed.
