Informal governance is not only at the national level, there are mini oligarchs in the regions - the National Movement has decided to expose all such people, the chairman of the United National Movement, Levan Khabeishvili, said at a briefing.
Levan Khabeishvili says that he will expose "specific corrupt people" for the public in series.
"Informal governance is not only at the national level, there are mini oligarchs in the regions. These people, among them, manipulate the election environment, as well as blackmail and bribe people, they manage governors and mayors with informal influence. National Movement decided to expose all such people. In a series, we present to you specific corrupt people who, among them, have direct links to the Russian espionage network. We present to you the informal rulers of Samtskhe-Javakheti, Borjomi, Bakuriani and Akhaltsikhe, who among them are getting rich from the budget at the expense of the people. In Borjomi, brothers Gia and Elguja Orjonikidze are the informal rulers. Elguja Orjonikidze is a high-ranking official of FSV, and his sister was appointed head of the Bakuriani Foundation, with a budget of 18 million GEL. You know that Gharibashvili is interested in Bakuriani, as well as his mother-in-law. When they need to remove the recreation area, various construction decisions - through Elguja Orjonikidze, his sister and high officials - they successfully implement all this.
In Akhaltsikhe, Demetri Tateishvili, the director of "Arali" LLC, gave his house to Bidzina Ivanishvili. After that, hundreds of millions of GEL were paid to him from the state budget. At the moment, 386 million GEL contracts have been received. In addition to serving Ivanishvili in Abastumani, he also donates hundreds of thousands of GEL to the Russian party. His sister and brother-in-law also own different companies, they have already taken 10 million GEL. The groom's father, Nodar Talakhadze, is also the chairman of the territorial planning and infrastructure commission of the City Council. They have created a large corrupt, nepotistic network, obviously during the elections they use this money and influence for the benefit of the Russian party.
In Akhaltsikhe, the former mayor, Zaza Melikidze, cooperates well with the local government. The former deputy governor, Avtandil Kachkachishvili, founded the company and received up to 25 million GEL through contracts. Of this money, approximately 20,000 GEL has been donated to the Russian party," Khabeishvili said.
