Parliament Speaker meets Romanian PM

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili met Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

 

The Speaker thanked the Romanian PM for support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and underscored the positive dynamics of Georgia-Romania relations in security and economy, stressing the significance of the Black Sea submarine electricity cable for the region and European energy independence.

 

Shalva Papuashvili familiarized the Romanian PM with the reforms in the EC’s 12-point recommendations’ fulfilment. In his turn, Marcel Ciolacu pledged Romania would continue to support Georgia’s EU integration aspirations.

 

The parties reiterated their readiness to intensify Georgia-Romania strategic partnership.
