Georgia on 12th place in World Economic Freedom Ranking

Georgia has ranked 12th among 162 countries according to Economic Freedom of the World annual report prepared by Fraser Institute. Georgia moved one position upward in comparison to the same rating of the previous year. The country has improved its ranking score (7.94) as well.

 

The index published in Economic Freedom of the World measures the degree to which the policies and institutions of countries are supportive of economic freedom. The countries are evaluated in five main directions: Size of Government, Legal System and Property Rights, Sound Money, Freedom to Trade Internationally and Regulation.

 

According to thr report, Georgia is ahead of countries such as Denmark (13th), Estonia (13th), Estonia (13th place), Lithuania (16th), Germany (20th), Finland (21st) Place), Czech Republic (22nd place), Latvia (24th place), Austria (26th place), Armenia (27th place), South Korea (33rd place), Slovakia (40th place) ), France (50th), Hungary (54th), Croatia (56th), Poland (59th place), Slovenia (67th place), Russia (85th place), Turkey (95th place), Moldova (97th place), Belarus (99th place) , Azerbaijan (116th), Ukraine (135th) and others.
