Instead of Georgian Dream trying to conduct an objective investigation and publish all financial documents, they try to focus on the previous government, but they will not succeed, as the previous government was accountable to the people, it has not financed the Prime Minister's visits with "black money" and "retired father’s" money, National Movement MP Levan Bezhashvili said, responding to the information published by the Ministry of Defense regarding the travel of the 3rd President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, by airplane.
According to him, the statement of the Ministry of Defense once again confirms that public indignation regarding the use of the Prime Minister's charter for a private visit is extremely acute.
As Bezhashvili noted, the National Movement will support the impeachment procedure of Irakli Gharibashvili, however, the main emphasis should be on the necessity of starting an investigation regarding the Prime Minister's flight.
"The financing of a charter by the Prime Minister with budget funds is such a large-scale corruption crime that justifying this topic by saying that the retired father financed this trip, is a mockery of the public. Various statements of Georgian Dream once again confirm that we are dealing with a serious crime and this crime needs an objective investigation. That's why the United National Movement demands from the Prosecutor General to immediately start a criminal investigation," Bezhashvili said.
