After the start of the war in Ukraine, Russian citizens founded 21,326 companies in Georgia, which is 3 times more than the previous 27-year figure, Transparency International - Georgia reports.
In particular, according to the organization, from January 1995 to February 2022, 7,788 companies were founded by Russian citizens in Georgia, and from March 2022 to June 2023, this number tripled.
Accordingly, according to the organization's data, after the start of the war in Ukraine, Russian citizens register an average of 1,300 companies per month in Georgia.
