In the second quarter of 2023, 1112 persons were readmitted to Georgia from EU countries

In the second quarter of the current year (April, May, June) within the framework of readmission, 1112 persons returned to Georgia from EU countries.

 

According to the statistical data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of 1117 applications for readmission were considered in the mentioned three months, of which 1112 were approved, and 5 were rejected.

 

It should be noted that the largest number of citizens – 714 - returned from Germany, which is followed by France (182), Greece (45), Switzerland (45), Italy (30), Spain (23); Poland (19).

 

The agreement between Georgia and the European Union on the readmission of persons living without permission came into effect on March 1, 2011.
