According to the Georgian media, Reverend Shio, Patriarchal locum tenens, was poisoned and medical tests showed traces of arsenic in his blood.

 

More specifically, according to Rustavi 2 TV, as a result of the examination of Reverend Shio, a number of suspicious substances were found in the analyses. Also, according to the TV company, the Patriarchate suspects that Reveren Shio was being poisoned gradually over time.

 

Mtavari TV also spread information about the alleged poisoning of a high-ranking clergyman. According to the TV company, Reverend Shio was poisoned a week ago. According to the spread information, the Patriarchal locum tenens felt unwell during one of the religious services, and the medical tests carried out later showed traces of arsenic in his blood.

 

IPN is trying to contact the Patriarchate after the information was reported, but so far no comment has been made.
