According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, the chairman of the parliamentary faction Georgian Dream, the deoligization law and the conclusion of the Venice Commission were discussed at the majority session.

According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, the positions of the European Commission and the Venice Commission are not in line with each other.

According to him, since there was a reference to the personalization issue in the conclusion of the Venice Commission, the deadline for the implementation of the law on deoligization will be March 1, but if the Commission removes this issue by the end of the year, the law will not come into force.

"According to the conclusion of the Venice Commission, all six recommendations were shared, approved, as their recommendations were reflected in the law. We can say that all the key issues are taken into account, the only hint, we can call it that way, was regarding the issue of personalization, and in its essence this topic which is part of the European recommendations implies personalization, so that we do not start reasoning and additional insinuations do not follow this inconsistency of the positions of the European Commission and the Venice Commission, and in order not to look for some conspiracy theories, we will act like this: the law on de-oligarchization will come into force from March 1 of next year, and in the event that, based on this argumentation, the European Commission removes this issue by the end of the year, we will have the opportunity at the very first meeting at the beginning of next year not to implement this law at all, otherwise, we will adopt the deoligization law, taking into account the recommendations, and we will implement it from March 1 of the next year," said Mamuka Mdinaradze.

According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, the law on public broadcasting was also discussed at the majority session.

"Here we have interesting news, in addition to the reservation that 15% should be used for Public Broadcaster of Adjara, next year it will be 16% and after that 17%. Apart from this reservation, there is very interesting and good news regarding TV documentaries. GPB will have an obligation to spend at least 10% of its budget on television documentaries. This will be a huge boost for the field and a huge step forward. We will support this reservation," said Mamuka Mdinaradze.

Besides, according to Mamuka Mdinaradze, there was a discussion regarding the healthcare law at the majority meeting.

"There was also a discussion regarding the health care law. In the majority, there is an opinion that adopting in a hasty manner regarding may not be correct and all nuances should be carefully weighed. The legislator must protect the balance between state interests and private interests, and we must not miss any details," said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
