Giorgi Botkoveli: "Russian Dream" aims at only one thing - to resemble the Russian Federation from start to finish

According to Giorgi Botkoveli, the regional secretary of the United National Movement, the arrests of civil activists in recent days prove that the authorities, like Russia, are trying to carry out repression.

As he said, Georgian Dream is trying to resemble the Russian Federation from start to finish.

"The "Russian Dream" aims at only one thing and aspires to only one thing, to resemble the Russian Federation from start to finish and to carry out all the repressions that Putin has carried out and is carrying out all these years. This is exactly what the process of arresting people looks like yesterday, the day before yesterday. All this is similar to Putin's actions from the beginning to the end, which completely destroyed democracy, civil society, the non-governmental sector and, in general, everything, if anything democratic existed in Russia," said Giorgi Botkoveli.

For information, on June 2, seven people were arrested administratively during the rally in front of the Parliament building. Lawyer Shota Tutberidze was also arrested near the Parliament, he was later released on the basis of a signed document.
