Georgia celebrates Independence Day

Georgia celebrates Independence Day today. Ceremonial events will be held in Tbilisi and regions.

 

The swearing-in ceremony will take place on Freedom Square in the morning. The oath will be taken throughout Georgia, this year for the first time, simultaneously in 10 regions and Tbilisi.

 

This year, the main theme of Georgia's Independence Day is: "With love for freedom".

 

A wine space will be organized on Rustaveli Avenue, where a sommelier's master class, tasting of different types of wine, familiarization with the characteristics of specific types of wine will be held. A radio cafe will be organized in the musical-theatrical space, where live broadcasting will be carried out from Rustaveli Avenue with various programs and guests. In addition, Literature cafe will offer a stage to young writers, poets and artists. In addition, children's and sports spaces, food area will be organized.

 

In connection with the 100 years of Georgian aviation, there will be an interactive installation of a flying painter by Petre Otskheli, an exhibition of aviation costumes, a real plane will be presented, where visitors will be able to enter and take photos.

 

Ceremonial events will be held in 15 cities across Georgia.

 

The events of May 26 will be completed by a gala concert dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia.
