"I want to congratulate Georgians living in every corner of the world on the Independence Day and the Diaspora Day. Georgian diaspora is an integral part of Georgian spirit and our identity as well as Georgian diaspora is an integral part of our past and the basis for our hopeful future, Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said at the Diaspora Forum.

According to him, the Georgian diaspora has a special power in the 21st century.

“A very important step was taken when it was written in the Constitution that the state has taken responsibility before the people living abroad and that is a very important commitment. For us, there is no greater value, greater wealth than the human capital. Due to various reasons, a great part of our human capital is abroad. Therefore, our task is to consolidate this human capital through joint efforts.

We have a national idea and this idea is education. I would like to ask everyone to be involved in this national idea, your children are actively involved in this idea. Human capital will enable us to achieve the ultimate goal and make our country stronger and united, giving each citizen, who loves Georgia, the opportunity to realize his/her talent in his own homeland, "Mamuka Bakhtadze said.

The Prime Minister thanked all the members of the diaspora who live abroad to maintain their traditions and bring up their children according to these traditions. The Prime Minister said such people are the heroes of modern times.
