Paata Manjgaladze: We should create protest centers demanding the implementation of 12 recommendations

21.04.23 16:30

In the coming days, you will see the final decision that actions are needed - it is not enough to raise the issue in the Parliament, we have to create centers of protest demanding the implementation of the 12 recommendations, Paata Manjgaladze, deputy of Strategy Builder told reporters.

According to Manjgaladze, he knows about the attitudes of other parties that certain actions are needed.

"The position of Strategy Builder is that we cannot succeed only with procedural battles, coordination is necessary, and we will talk about this today at Strategy Builder. I know that there is a mood in other parties that we should do other things together, it would be embarrassing for me to announce something now, so you will see the final decision in the coming days that not only the procedural fight, but other actions are needed. Just as the 12 recommendations and the European course were sabotaged by the Russian law, if there is no reform regarding the court, we will be in the same situation.

We have a simple choice, either we go to the streets and demand the government to reform the courts, or we all have to fight the flies and mosquitoes together in the summer heat. I have made a choice and Strategy Builder is going to fight for the European future. Georgian Dream will not approve these changes, nor will it create an investigative commission, so let's tell the truth to the people in time that Georgian Dream is blocking the status, including the fact that it will not implement changes related to the court and is directly sabotaging what is happening now, we must form an opposition. It is not enough to raise the issue in the Parliament, we should start thinking about creating centers of protest demanding the implementation of the 12 recommendations. If we can do that, it will be the biggest thing in the summer," said Manjgaladze.
