Attempts to interfere with the European future of this country cannot go unpunished, which the deputies of the parliamentary majority are doing on purpose, said Salome Samadashvili, a member of Lelo.
According to her, there are people in the majority who are "servants of Murusidze" and believe that their function is to protect the interests of Murusidze and the clan.
"Georgian Dream will once again boycott parliamentary activities and will embarrass itself both in front of its own people and international partners, but one thing can be said for sure that Georgian Dream has performed a complete lustration over the past 2 days. Murusidze's supporters are in the majority in the Parliament today. They are servants and believe that their function is to protect the interests of Murusidze and the judicial clan and not to protect the interests of the Georgian people. We see that the main problem that the whole world and primarily the European Union is talking about is the reform of the judicial system, so I can definitely say that if the sabotage of the fact-finding commission continues today, it will be the sabotage of our European future, which is being carried out by the ruling majority once again.
The work of the legislative body has been paralyzed by the ruling team for two days.
Regarding the issue of sanctions - when the heads of the judicial clan were sanctioned, our Western partners made it clear that without judicial reform this country cannot move forward, so it is clear that everyone involved in strengthening the judicial clan in our country should potentially become objects of the relevant pressure. We will continue to consult with both our American and European colleagues on this matter, because the attempt to hinder the European future of this country cannot go unpunished, which is what the deputies of the majority are doing on purpose," said Samadashvili.
