Archil Talakvadze: The transfer of the control package of Formula TV by Davit Kezerashvili should be considered as "hiding the television"

According to the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Archil Talakvadze, the transfer of the control package of Formula TV by Davit Kezerashvili should be considered as "hiding the television".

As Talakvadze noted, Kezerashvili is trying to temporarily save the television from the burden of his heavy reputation.

"Free journalism is incompatible with the fact that Davit Kezerashvili, with a high probability, finances the activities of the media with money earned through international fraud. Therefore, it should be considered not as transferring the television to someone, but as hiding the television. He is trying to temporarily save the television from the burden of his heavy reputation, so that this media can continue to fulfill the tasks set already. In the end, it is impossible to deceive the public. No matter how Kezerashvili tries to hide behind the party or the media, the truth is known to the public and we should expect that even more will be known about his activities", said Archil Talakvadze.

For information, former Minister of Defense, Davit Kezerashvili, released a statement on the allegations relating to the issue of call centers. Kezerashvili says in his statement that he made a decision regarding the Formula TV. “The decision is as follows: I am refusing the control package of Formula and I am transferring half of the shares to the TV company staff. And after the end of the oligarchic rule, I will fully transfer my remaining shares to them. After the disappearance of the Ivanishvili factor and the final entry into the Western space, I am sure that free media will have many other sources of livelihood even without my participation, and this is where my activity in the direction of media support and in general all types of involvement in Georgian politics will come to an end”, reads the statement.
