Iago Khvichia: I think that they went to Poland in a completely rational way, I think there is an agreement on Misha’s release

I think that they went to Poland in a completely rational way, from the point of view that the examination of Murusidze's case is essentially the examination of the case of the National Movement, Girchi leader Iago Khvichia stated on PalitraNews TV, thereby responding to the postponement of the extraordinary plenary session relating to the creation of a fact-finding commission and the departure of Ana Tsitlidze and Levan Khabeishvili to Poland.

According to him, the National Movement is a party that cannot create a fact-finding commission for its political opponent.

"We should have passed the law today. They should have been here, but they went to Poland. Has it ever been possible for the Americans to sanction Georgian judges and has there ever been a chance for the opposition to create a fact-finding commission on this? This is simply not serious. I think there is an agreement on the release of Misha, and if there is no agreement, then it seems that they have made a gift for the Dream for free.

Instead of focusing on the commission and making all the pressure on this, they went to Poland. What's the matter at all? I think that they went to Poland in a completely rational way, from the point of view that the examination of Murusidze's case is essentially the examination of the case of the National Movement. Imagine we have a political party that can't set up a commission of inquiry against its political opponent on the grounds that they are afraid that their cases may also be investigated. Kobakhidze openly threatened them with this”, said Khvichia.
