Russia and Georgia are on the verge of restoring direct air traffic, as well as canceling visas, Leonid Kalashnikov, the deputy of the Russian Duma, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, was quoted as saying by the Russian state News Agency Tass.

"I have spoken to many high-ranking officials, including about very sensitive issues that need to be resolved - air travel and cancellation of visas. I must say that we are on the edge of these decisions," Kalashnikov said at the economic forum entitled "Prospects for the development of economic relations between Russia and Georgia".

According to Kalashnikov, it is difficult for him to say when these decisions will be made and in what order.
