According to the Government's Stratcom, after the Prime Minister's interview on Imedi TV, a disinformation campaign is being carried out on social networks and in media outlets with political motivations, and the Prime Minister's statements are being deliberately misinterpreted.

According to them, fake news is also spread by circulating fake quotes.

"False information is being spread especially aggressively, which refers to the Prime Minister's statements regarding the young people participating in the rally.

We would like to explain to the public that Irakli Gharibashvili said in an interview: "In addition to the members of this destructive, anarchist movement, there were also many sincere students, many students, but they were not so aggressive, they stood calmly, protested, simply supported the idea of Europe". The Prime Minister also noted that it is unacceptable to involve young people in destructive processes. The Prime Minister also talked extensively about the specific steps and results by the government on the way to European integration, as well as the importance of receiving the status of a candidate for EU membership.

Nevertheless, politically motivated groups are trying to mislead the public through of fake news," Government Stratcom says.
