According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, chairman of the Georgian Dream faction, the parliamentary majority refuses to support both bills on agents.

As Mdinaradze explained at the press conference after the majority session, the starting point of the decision was that people's health and lives should not be put at risk.

"As a responsible political force, which has always considered accountability to each citizen as the first priority, we have made a decision regarding both projects - to refuse support for these projects and to withdraw these projects.

I would like to tell you the main reason for the decision, which the parliamentary majority agrees with. In the morning, we didn't have a chance to have direct communication, we had remote communication and then we decided on this matter. Now I can confirm with full responsibility that the parliamentary majority confirms the decision and shares it. The main starting point behind this decision was that we did not put at risk the health and life of even one person, one child, that was the starting point. As it seemed, the risks of this could be increased. Therefore, we set as the first task to put aside everything, it was a red line, a watershed, because of which we did not risk even one young person's life," said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
