Levan Ioseliani's candidacy for the post of Public Defender to be presented and voted on at the plenary session of the Parliament

Today, at the plenary session of the Parliament, Levan Ioseliani's candidacy for the post of Public Defender will be presented and voted on without discussion.

 

As it is known, the parliamentary majority will support the candidacy of Levan Ioseliani, part of the opposition also supports him. A total of 90 deputies' votes are required to elect a Public Defender.

 

Ioseliani's candidacy has already been reviewed and supported by the Human Rights Protection Committee.

 

The candidacy of Levan Ioseliani was submitted by the political group Citizens.
