“Russia was the one that sanctioned Georgia. Therefore, no one can predict what is brewing in the Russian government’s mind,” said Maka Botchorishvili, chair of the parliamentary European Integration Committee.
Maka Botchorishvili commented on the US Department of State’s statement on the restoration of direct flights between Georgia and Russia.
According to the US Department of State, the resumption of flights between Georgia and Russia would put enterprises that service Russian companies at Georgian airports at risk of sanctions.
“The statement alludes to a hypothetic scenario. But no one can predict what Russia would do,” she stated.
