Head of the Bellingcat investigative group, Christo Grozev, publicly appealed to Georgian law enforcement agencies on the air of TV Rain and offered assistance and cooperation in connection with the investigation into the poisoning of the former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili.

"I am sure that they [Georgia's law enforcement agencies] are interested in this investigation. We are ready to help if they want to share information with us - about any movement of suspicious people and border crossings, which, in their opinion, require additional verification," Grozev told the TV company.

According to Grozev, the journalists got acquainted with the conclusion of the American toxicologist, who examined the politician's samples, consulted with Russian experts on chemical weapons and came to the conclusion that the version of Saakashvili's poisoning with heavy metals probably existed.

In addition, according to Grozev, there is a motive - Saakashvili "is included in the circle of enemies of FSB and the State Intelligence Department, who could make such a decision."

For information, on January 4, Mikheil Saakashvili addressed Christo Grozev. In the address, Saakashvili talks about the fact that "poisonous heavy metals were found" in his hair and nails, and calls on Grozev, if he can, to investigate the secret and oligarchic schemes between Russia and Georgia, which Saakashvili estimates will be important to save his life.
