According to Gela Nikolaishvili, lawyer of Giorgi Sharashidze, the son-in-law of singer Gia Gachechiladze, it depends on the testimony of the former minister of internal affairs, Vano Merabishvili, whether Sharashidze will be charged or not.

As the lawyer told journalists after the questioning of Giorgi Sharashidze, the physical confrontation with Vano Merabishvili and his client started after the latter mentioned Buta Robakidze's name.

According to the lawyer, Giorgi Sharashidze entered the pharmacy near his house to buy medicine for his uncle, where he saw Vano Merabishvili.

"Giorgi was talking on the phone and when he finished talking on the phone, he asked Merabishvili – “Are you Vano Merabishvili?” – He said he was Merabishvili. Then Giorgi told him, "I am a friend of Buta Robakidze", Nikolaishvili said.

According to the lawyer, Giorgi Sharashidze was wondering what reaction Vano Merabishvili would have and "whether he would feel human remorse when hearing Buta Robakidze's name".

According to the lawyer, Merabishvili said Buta Robakidze was no more relevant.

"This irritated Giorgi. He hit him several times, but he does not remember exactly which part of his body he hit. Then Vano Merabishvili ran away from the pharmacy and he kicked him. He had a car near the pharmacy and before he got in, he shouted insulting words at him," Nikolaishvili said.

According to the lawyer, as Giorgi Sharashidze stated during the interrogation, Vano Merabishvili did not respond and "he only covered his face with his hand".

According to Nikolaishvili, if the victim says that he did not experience physical pain, there will be no elements of crime. "Everything depends on Vano Merabishvili's testimony," he said.
