If I'm not mistaken, the so-called budget of occupied Abkhazia amounts to 200 million dollars, their budget is fully subsidized, and I want to say that this is a missed opportunity for our Abkhazian and Ossetian sisters and brothers, said Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili while presenting the 2022 report on the government's work.

According to him, in case of the country's unification, the central government of Georgia can invest 10 billion in Abkhazia and Samachablo.

In addition, as the head of the Government noted, the policy of the government regarding the occupied territories will not be revised and the country's government will try to unify the country in a peaceful way.

"Of course, our main priority is the continuation of our peaceful policy towards the occupied regions, the effective implementation of our policy of reconciliation and engagement. Our goal is to improve the social and economic conditions of conflict-affected populations and reconcile artificially divided societies by promoting cooperation and trust-building based on common interests. We help our Abkhaz and Ossetian fellow citizens a lot. We don't talk about it publicly, it's our deliberate policy, we don't want to advertise it, but I want to tell you that a lot of people use the services we offer. For example, 230 students were enrolled last year, more than 1,300 people benefited from health services, and of course these benefits will continue in the future. Our common task should be to unite our country, the most important task and idea around which our nation should be united is to unite our country.

Unfortunately, our opponents talk about everything, except the issues important to the country and important to our people. Abkhazia has a huge potential to become second Monaco and Sokhumi - the second Monte Carlo. Therefore, of course, our policy is peaceful, we want to heal the wounds of so many wars. Our policy will not be revised, we only want to peacefully end and reconcile the mentioned conflict, this terrible tragedy, so that we all live together in a united, strong, European Georgia," said Gharibashvili.
