Shalva Papuashvili: I once again called on Ana Tsitlidze to stop her hunger strike - she is already in a state where her health can be irreversibly damaged

Submitting an ultimatum to the court is not the form in which issues should be resolved - [Ana Tsitlidze] is already in a state where her health can be irreversibly damaged, Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili told reporters after visiting the hunger striker deputy of the National Movement Ana Tsitlidze in the Parliament.

Papuashvili appeals to the members of the National Movement to call on Tsitlidze to end his hunger strike.

"I called once again to stop the hunger strike. She is already in a state where her health can be irreversibly damaged. It is important, first of all, to think about not harming one's health. What could happen now is that her health can deteriorate.

As for her demands, the legal process is ongoing, lawyers are involved. There was a process where experts were consulted. The following process is scheduled for 29. This issue is for the court to decide. Such issues are not solved by hunger strikes and demands. The only thing this hunger strike can cause is damage to one's health. On the example of other MPs, we saw that they reached the point of not damaging their health irreversibly. We think it is important that her teammates also call and ask her to stop his hunger strike," said Shalva Papuashvili.
